Description

Xevious is a vertically-scrolling shooter from Namco. It takes place on an alien-infested Earth.

The game was designed by Masanobu Endoh.

Story

The Xevions are an alien race who have landed on Earth and are claiming the planet as theirs. The player must shoot down the alien ships and progress through levels to the end of the game.

Gameplay

The player controls the Solvalou spaceship, which flies over Earth terrain. The ship has two weapons: a blaster (which fires straight ahead) and a blaster, which bombs ground-based forces using a targetting system.
