Description
Wario Ware Inc is a game consisting of several hundred very short (typically less than 5 seconds) mini-games, where you have to complete a simple given task correctly in the time limit. The games get faster and more complex and the difficulty increases.
The object of the game is to complete a certain amount of randomly selected mini-games in a row without failing more than 4 of them, where you have to start over. There are several unlockables in the game, including a version of Dr. Mario entitled Dr. Wario and a simply NES-style game entitled Pyoro.
There is a recurring Nintendo theme in the game, with several references to NES games including Excitebike and The Legend of Zelda.
It is the first game in the Wario Ware series and is often compared to the slower-paced Bishi Bashi Special (PlayStation).
Wario Ware, Inc. Mega Microgame$ was voted the winner of the Edge Award at the Edinburgh International Games Festival in 2004 by a panel of videogames industry members, academics, and journalists.
