Tetris DS is the latest in a long line of Tetris games released on Nintendo handheld consoles. It is often said the original game, bundled with the first Game Boy, helped to sell millions of the machines.

Gameplay

The basic gameplay consists of placing falling blocks, together to complete a line. When a full line is completed it vanishes. Completing four lines simultaneously is called a "Tetris".

The blocks are in one of seven shapes, called tetrinimos. These seven shapes represent all possible combinations of four squares places together.
