Talk:List of Sony Playstation 2 Games

Just a note regarding the WPsource tag on this page. A list of games is really just a list of games, and could be obtained from anywhere. There is nothing that really defines this information as originally originating from Wikipedia. Therefore, it is debatable as to whether a WPsource tag should be used. This is different to a case where original content is copied from Wikipedia in the form of descriptive text etc. I would suggest that this page does not need the WPsource tag. -- tyagi 03:04, 16 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Once this list is finished, it should be merged back into the main PlayStation 2 article, I think. Unless we're going to have a seperate games page for every system. I realise this would make the PS2 page long, but snce the games list comes last I don't think that matters. Xevious 08:22, 16 Jun 2005 (UTC)

An interesting point. There are several platforms for which the list of titles interferes with the real content. For example, PC, PS2, both have many games available. Perhaps it would be best to split off the game lists for a platform in to a separate page? Saying this, if the game pages are formatted correctly using the GameInfobox template, then ALL titles for a given platform should be available from the Category:platform_name page. In which case, do we need a platform title list at all when it will be automatically generated when a title is added? -- tyagi 08:53, 16 Jun 2005 (UTC)
- Superb point. We don't really need the list in the console page then, but it does making creating new pages a little harder for new users. I'm not sure that the list of games does interfere with the rest of the content, though, if it's the last thing on the page. You don't have to scroll down ... Xevious 10:36, 16 Jun 2005 (UTC)
