Super Paper Mario is third installment to the Paper Mario series(Fourth counting Super Mario RPG) developed by Intelligent Systems. Unlike previous Paper Mario titles it is a real time action platformer but sustains RPG elements such as HP, Experience points, levels, and attack power. Another feature unique to Super Paper Mario is the ability to switch between a 2d and 3d perspective.

Characters
Playable
Mario has the abilitity to flip between 3D and 2D environments. As fast as Peach and Luigi. Jumps as High as Peach and Bowser. You start off with Mario.
Princess Peach has the ability to float through the air by holding the 2 button in mid air. Can also defend herself with her Parasol by pressing Down on the D-pad. Can jump as High as Mario and Bowser. Can Run as Fast as Mario and Luigi. You obtain peach after Chapter 1.
Bowser can breath fire by pressing Down on the D-Pad. He is the slowest character. But can Jump as high as Mario or Peach. His attacks are twice as strong as the rest of the Party's. you obtain Bowser after defeating him at the end of chapter 3-1.
Luigi can Jump Higher than any other character and can run as fast as Peach and Mario. By holding down on the D-Pad, Luigi will charge up a Super Jump by flattening then springing upwards. You obtain him in chapter 7-1 in the Underwhere.
Pixls
Tippi is a robotic looking rainbow colored butterfly. Tippi is a major character in the storyline. Tippi Is always following you, unless she has been taken from your party somehow. Tippi is utilized by pointing the wiimote at the TV she can tell you about characters, objects and make apparent hidden objects.
Non-playable
Count Bleck Count Bleck is the main villian. Count Bleck wants to see through the prophecies of the Dark Prognosis and destroy the world with the Chaos Heart.
Controls
In Super Paper Mario The Wiimote is held Horizontally to resemble a nes controller.
| D pad | Moves character. Down while playing as bowser will cause him to breath fire. Holding down while Luigi will make him to Super Jump. Down with peach will make her take cover under her parasol. |
| 1 button | Activates a Pixl's ability. |
| 2 button | Makes the character jump. Pressing and holding while peach causes you to float. |
| 1 and 2 button simultaniously | Opens Quick Menu. |
| A | Switches between 2D and 3D while controlling Mario(called Flipping). |
| + | Opens the main menu. |
| - | Opens a menu that shows the main controls. |
| Wiimote Pointer | at the TV will result in Tippis crosshair to appear to study the current scene. |
