Description of Hardware

The third home console in Sega's long list of hardware (mainly arcade) creations. The Sega Saturn was considered a competitor of the Nintendo 64 and Sony PlayStation during it's normal lifespan.

The Sega Saturn has a built-in CD player.

Late RevA9 Sega Saturn motherboard, the early boards had the controller ports on a seperate PCB, early revisions of the Model 2 Saturn board still have the drive access LED on the motherboard, despite the later cases having no cut-out for it.
