Description of Hardware
The hardware in the Namco Galaxian range is sufficiently generic to run a multitude of bootlegs of other games. While actually developed seperately, the hardware used for Moon Cresta is very close. Scramble hardware from Konami & Stern is also close.
Clones
Due to the similarities in hardware, not only Namco Galaxian and Nichibutsu Moon Cresta but also Konami Scramble hardware platforms have all benefited from unofficial clones from the other manufacturers' hardware.
