Metroid Prime 2: Echoes is a first person adventure game for the Nintendo GameCube platform. It was developed by Retro Studios and published by Nintendo as an exclusive game. The Metroid franchise is one of Nintendo's biggest franchises, and the first Metroid game was released on Nintendo's NES console. You play as Samus Aran, a female intergalactic bounty hunter and it mainly evolves around two main themes; Metroids and Space Pirates. In Metroid Prime, the view was first person, a first for the series. The transition to first person, and thus 3D, is widely belived to have been a successful one.
