Description
Kirby: Power Paintbrush (Touch! Kirby in Japan and Kirby: Canvas Curse in America) is a 2D Platform game for the Nintendo DS, which makes full use of the touch screen to play. It has been compared to Yoshi Touch & Go by some, but in actual gameplay is very different.
Story
Gameplay
The idea is to get Kirby to the end of the level safely, avoiding any obstacles or enemies encountered along the way. Kirby constantly rolls in the direction he is facing, however you can draw paths that Kirby will follow by drawing on the touch screen. These paths are only exist for a limited amount of time, and you are also limited by the amount you can draw on the screen (the guage is replenished when Kirby is not on a drawn line). Tapping an enemy stuns them, and allows Kirby to touch them unhindered. Also by tapping Kirby he performs a dash move and can pass by enemies this way.
Boss Minigames
There are three minigames which serve as boss battles:
- Block Attack: Kill all the enemies to advance to the next room, and defeat the bosses.
- Cart Run: Race King DeDeDe to the finish.
- Paint Panic: Quickly paint pictures to avoid enemies.
