Gameplay

Project Rub was initially released as Feel the Magic XX/XY in the USA. Project Rub is the title used in PAL territories.

The game's structure is a linear, story-based, minigame challenge. Many of the minigames can be compared with those in Wario Ware, where the player is required to perform simple tasks under the pressure of time and/or increasing difficulty. As the player successful completes minigames, he will progress through the game's story, thereby revealing further minigames. Unlike Wario Ware, progress is linear, and the player will reach the end of the game's story once all games are complete. A single, highly distinctive, graphical style, is used throughout the game and in-game story sequences. This was a launch title in most Nintendo DS regions.

Project Rub has been touted as a dating game, but in reality it's nothing of the sort. Instead, while the storyline centres around one man and his quest for a girl's heart, the gameplay is strictly minigame based.
