Help:Page structure
From GamerWiki
Due to the way that videogames are released over numerous platforms and in different editions, GamerWiki employs a template structure to let information appear on several pages.
At the core of each entry is the game's own page. This will be titled, for example, Geometry Wars Galaxies (Wii). On this page, we have the infobox. You can see this for yourself by looking at the editing page.
Contained in the infobox are two very important variables: gametitle and platform.
Now, the template now calls on the game-specific information. For our example, this is contained at Template:Games/Geometry Wars Galaxies. This contains the game's background, story, and gameplay details. It also places a game into a series.
It also includes the list of formats that the game is available on. Here this is Template:GameFormats/Geometry Wars Galaxies.
The game template in turn pulls in the information specific to the platform - here this is included at Template:Games/Geometry Wars Galaxies/Nintendo Wii. This includes screenshots (which can vary considerably between formats), review scores, and trivia.
