Ideal material for use in GamerWiki is that provided by publishers, developers or hardware manufacturers as Press material. This is released for publication with copyright remaining with the company in question. It is therefore suited for use under the GamerWiki Fair use scheme, under our fair-use policy.

Game covers must not be watermarked with other sites' logos or otherwise taken from a site who claims copyright on their images.

Select an image that is of reasonable size (up to 1024x768 for screenshots and preferably with a width of 400 pixels for game covers) and of good quality. Poor quality images should be replaced with good quality images as soon as possible. Game cover images should not be of a size that would permit illegal paper duplication of the image for counterfeit purposes.

Once you have a suitable picture, save it onto your computer. Use a name which identifies the image - for example, save it as "HaloXboxEU.jpg". All uploaded files on GamerWiki must be unique, otherwise existing images will be overwritten. Then click on 'Upload file' on the left-hand menu.

Once the file has been uploaded, navigate to the page for that game and enter the image name into the Template:GameInfobox.
