Help:Chronology
From GamerWiki
A Chronology list is a list of games in a series. At the bottom of game pages which are part of a series, a series box will appear, like this:
The Chronology list is in the lower box. If no Chronology list has been created, you will instead see a red link, labelled Template:Chronology/XX (where XX is the series name). This is because the Chronology is drawn from a separate template. If you edit the chronology (using the "edit" button in the box) you will in fact be editing this template.
Chronology templates
With the exception of some early series chronologies, all chronologies will be shown in the following format (this example is taken from the Dragon Quest series). If you are editing a blank chronology, you should copy and paste the below code in and replace the game names.
{{ChronologyList|{}|
Dragon Warrior|
Dragon Warrior II|
Dragon Warrior III|
Dragon Warrior IV|
Dragon Quest V|
...
Dragon Quest Swords: The Masked Queen and the Tower of Mirrors (Wii)|
}}
Note how games that have been released on more than one format point to the dismiguation page, while games exclusive to one format have the format included in the link.
You should note that in some browsers, the {} appears very similar to the lower case version of the letter L. To clarify: this is the number one (1) followed by a pipe (|) character. If you are unsure, please copy and paste the above as suggested.
Use of chronology lists
On a series disambiguation page, the chronology can be included as a bulleted list, by including the code:

where XX is the name of the series.
So, for a series concerning Sonic The Hedgehog you would use:
