Goichi Suda
From GamerWiki
Goichi Suda, aka 'Suda51', is president of Grasshopper Manufacture. His pseudonym, Suda51, is a play on words in the Japanese language. In Japanese, the word 'goichi' can be split in to 'go' 'ichi', 'go' meaning 5 and 'ichi' meaning 1. 'go ichi' in Japanese is translated to English as 'five one'. Therefore, in Japanese, 'Suda51' is spoken 'Suda Goichi', following the tradition in Japan to put a person's surname before their first name. In Japanese language, 'Suda51' is simply an abbreviated way of writing Goichi Suda's full name in Japanese form.
