Current Policy

Game page structure

  • All new pages should use try and use the templates where possible, and any old pages before the creation of the new templates should be ported over. You can find help on using the templates in the Help Section.

Game page names

  • All pages should be made with the name of the game in the PAL territories, and if it differs then to use the UK name. US and Japanese titles should be listed as Alternative Titles. If a game hasn't had a PAL release, use of the US title should be used over any alternate titles. See Project Rub's Talk Page for discussion on this policy.

Imported content

  • Content from other sites, specifically Wikipedia, should not be simply cut and pasted into GamerWiki. Copied information should be improved and summarised, or expanded, before being added to GamerWiki. This does not apply to purely technical information or graphical/multi-media content. Any content that is copied must have already been released under a license that is compatible with the GNU Free Documenttion License, as used by Wikipedia and GamerWiki. Any copied information or media which is copyright and may be used under Fair Use, must be tagged as such. Where information is copied from Wikipedia, the author must comply with the terms and conditions on the users rights and obligations page. -- tyagi 21:06, 1 Jun 2005 (UTC)
