Story
ATLAS, the Advanced Tactical Legion for Allied Security, is an international combat group formed to defend the world against terrorism, black market trading, and global domination. The player joins as a commander of ATLAS's forces, and commands their army to defeat enemies.
Gameplay
The game is (very) similar to Advance Wars (GBA), with the primary objective of most levels to either defeat all opposing units or capture the headquarters of the opposing army. The player commands a number of different types of units, which are either pre-deployed or built in factories or ports. Each of these units may move and fire once in each turn.
Unit types
- Grunt - basic infanty unit
- Spec Ops - infantry unit with both close range and long-range firing capability
- Sniper - able to cloak and therefore appear invisible to the other side
- Scout - able to travel long distances, light armour and weapons, able to carry one infranty unit
- Truck - able to carry one infanty unit, and supply other units
- Half-track - small tank, with medium armour and eapons
- Tank - heave armour and weapons
- Concealed tank - able to cloak and appear invisible
- Anti-aircraft gun - light armour, weapons very effective against air and infantry units
- Rocket launcher - long-range waepons only
- Utility copter - able to carry one unit of infanty
- Gunship - effective against tanks
- Tank-buster - bombing aircraft with heavy armour
- Stealth fighter - able to cloak and become invisible, effective against air units
- Transporter - able to carry two land units, can only land on shores
- Submarine - able to submerge and become invisible (and pass underneath other units)
- Corvette - effective against air units and submarines
- Battleship - long-range attacks only
