Story
Mr Esc is a professional hero, who rescues people from dangerous sitations with little thought for his own safety. Faced with ten emergency situations, ranging from an earthquake in a hospital to a flood in the underground, Mr Esc must get not only those trapped out, but also ensure that he can escape in time as well.
Gameplay
The player can pick up a number of items to help Mr Esc achieve his objectives:
- rope ladder - allows characters to go up and down
- rope - allows characters to go down only
- key - unlocks doors
- fire extinguisher - puts out level 1 and 2 fires
- torch - illuminates part of a (dark) level
- pickaxe - knocks down barriers
- plank - bridges gaps
Not only can the player directly use these, but can also instruct any companions they have already rescued to use them, by using the analogue nub to control a cursor.
Types of companion
There are four main types of companion that Mr Esc encounters:
- adults - mostly the same abilities as Mr Esc, but cannot jump up to grab a ledge, not lower themselves down a ledge to safely drop.
- children - cannot jump as high, nor swim.
- fatties - cannot jump or climb over tall obstacles. Can push heavy objects by themselves.
- injured people - require someone to carry them to the exit; cannot perform any tasks.
