Download refers to software that is downloaded directly from the Internet, or from a hosted download service. Downloads may be provided by the publishing company, through a dedicated download site (such as 3DGamers.com, or via a subscription service such as Microsoft Xbox Live, Nintendo Revolution's online service, Nintendo DS's online service, or Sony PlayStation 3's online service.
